Put the commute on your rental checklist

How to test the whole journey when comparing apartments near Hanoi’s metro.

A useful starting point

  • Government News reported that the elevated Nhổn–Cầu Giấy segment opened on 8 August 2024, with eight stations over 8.5 kilometres. Check the operator’s current route and service information when planning a trip; a future line on a map is not a confirmed service.

Test door to door

  • At a viewing, walk from the building entrance to the station you would actually use. Check road crossings, pavement access, the return route and how you would manage rain or luggage.
  • Try the journey at the time you normally travel. Include waiting, transfers and the final walk to work in your comparison. Avoid relying on a straight-line distance or an untested commute estimate.

Tell the team your destination

  • Share your regular destination and preferred way of travelling with Gary Home. Use the district filter to build a shortlist, then confirm the exact building address before the viewing.
